Africa Armwrestling names Ken Odeng, Dr. Bojuwoye as chairmen for Anti-Doping and Media Committees

Ghanaian Sports Journalist, Mr Kenneth Odeng Adade has been named Chairman of the Armwrestling Federation of Africa (AFA) Media Committee.

AFA recently named a eight-member Media Committee to spearhead the promotion and publicity drive of the sport on the continent and beyond.

The committee will have Traore (Mali) as Vice Chairman and Lembe Alexandre (Cameroon) as Secretary while Attikpo Vinyo Hugues (Togo), Oduneye Oluwaseyi (Nigeria), Djingarey Maiga Mahamadou (Niger), Rabarison Jean Fidèle (Madagascar)and Sandrine Ella Ochou (Ivory Coast) will serve as members.

Ken was instrumental in Ghana’s successful hosting of the 2018 Africa Armwrestling Championship when he was appointed as Head of Operations and Media for the event. His dedication and commitment to the glamourous event earned the praise of the Secretary General of the World Armwrestling Federation who tipped Ghana to soon host a world championship.

In a related development, AFA has named Dr. Bojuwoye Adebukola from Nigeria as the chairman of the newly constituted Anti-Doping Commission with Dr. Prince Pambo from Ghana as vice and Dr. Radonirina Zafinjato Rakotomanga from Madagascar as the Secretary to the Commission. Other members of the committee are; Essomba Herve Noel (Cameroon), Ekoue-Kouvahey (Togo), Ismael Oumarou Issaka (Niger), and Niamke N’guessan Marie Chantal (Ivory Coast).

The Anti-Doping Commission is to ensure that Africa Armwrestling is Anti-Doping compliant.

The Armwrestling Federation of Africa (AFA), have also confirmed the membership of the AFA Referees Panel with Egyptian Nasr Youssef as the chairman and Head Referee. Other members are Husseini Akueteh Addy (Ghana) as the Training Director, Nii Otoo Larkyne (Ghana) as secretary and Alberta Boatemaa Ampomaa as a member.

AFA has constitutionally set up these committees to enhance the development and promotion of Africa Armwrestling.
